Overview
Volume Booster — No Distortion is a browser extension built by SeqOrbit. This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It has no backend server. Everything runs entirely inside your browser.
What data the extension stores (and where)
The extension saves a small set of preferences for each website you visit: your volume boost level, stereo balance, dialogue clarity setting, auto-leveling setting, and whether the floating on-page control is shown (including its position, if you’ve moved it). It also saves one device-wide preference — an optional maximum boost limit — that isn’t tied to any specific website.
- The preferences never leave your device.
- They are never sent to SeqOrbit, any server, or any third party.
- They are not linked to your identity in any way.
- You can clear them at any time by removing the extension or clearing extension data in your browser settings.
Permissions this extension uses, and why
None of these permissions are used to read, log, or transmit your browsing activity, page content, or any personal information.
- storage — remembers your volume settings for each website.
- activeTab / scripting — lets the extension popup communicate with the tab you are currently viewing.
- Host permissions (access to all websites) — lets the volume boost work on whichever website is playing audio or video.
No analytics, no ads, no tracking
This extension does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other analytics or advertising SDK. It does not display ads. It does not track which websites you visit.
Third parties
This extension does not share data with any third party because it does not collect any data to share.
Children’s privacy
This extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it collects no personal data at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
