Boosting audio well above 100% increases the physical energy hitting your speakers or earphones — the anti-distortion limiter keeps the sound clean, but it doesn't limit how loud or how hard your hardware is driven. On earphones or small laptop speakers especially, sustained boost above roughly 300–400% can strain or damage the drivers over time, even without audible crackling.
Use higher boost levels with headphones/speakers rated for it, and increase gradually rather than jumping straight to the maximum. SeqOrbit is not responsible for any hardware damage caused by using this extension at high boost levels.
